We are planning to book a dive trip to Cobalt Coast/Divetech on Grand Cayman; what time of year would provide the calmest sea condtions? I am not a fan of choppy boat rides or heavy current. Is there a best time of year visibiltiy wise?
Thanks

Cobalt Coast gets a fair bit of wind at all times of the year, but I would suggest mid - April to mid August. Viz is fairly unpredictable also, but that time period probably gives you your best odds of good viz.

PS - in Cayman, "good" viz = 100'+ ;)

Pps bad viz in cayman is 70 ft

Would theer be a better location on GC for calmer seas than Cobalt Coast? How does the Compass Point area compare as far as visability and seas?
Thanks

Compass Point would not really differ much. In both locations, if it is too windy to go to the N Wall, the boat will go to a site on the South (Compass Point) or West (Cobalt Coast) side.
