So what is the best sub $30 item you have purchased that made a real difference to your diving?

I have two: A $10 slap strap which made mask clearing, donning and doffing absolutely pleasant and simple. Second was discovering $10 Lycra socks after 30 years and finding out how much easier putting on booties became.

I never dive without either.

Anyone else?

$5 magnifying loop. My wife is the photog. I cruise around and find macro stuff for her. We have a blast.:)

+1 on the lycra socks. I like the beefy ones.

Which ones? Looking for XMas stuffers here...

$30 Cressi panoramic mask off Amazon. Doesn't leak! I've had issues going through multiple masks to find one that didn't leak. I think this was number 6. All the $100 masks leaked badly. A $30 Hog backup mask also didn't leak...much.

Another stocking stuffer: the $6 wet notes from DGX. I received one for an early Christmas prezzie.

The key chain dive tank that opens to store extra o rings. Would a dive specific first aid kit be too grim for a present?
The retractable line clips for holding lights or clip boards are on my list.

Vented ear plugs. I've had problems with my ears getting infected from water, even when using ear beer and other supposed remedies. But I haven't had problem one since getting the ear plugs. Won't dive without them anymore.

I got a little mini flashlight that I use for cave survey. Before I had to use my primary light and while it was doable, it wasn't great.

Now I've got a tiny light that shines right on my notebook and I can leave my primary light in my hand. It's fantastic.

Obscenely large bottle of sex lube for getting in and out of drysuit seals?
