Gary said it is the same weight as a SS BP. Steve Lewis had one made for fun and it kinda caught on. Great for those Great Lake Dives.

That's just great. You guys had me convinced that FredT's plate was the best, but now I find out there's a brass one?! I was thinking about trying to go with brass for my d-rings and other hardware, if I could find it, just to be different. Now, I've got to do some more thinking. I've always liked brass. Any issues with it and salt water? I was going to ask this sooner or later, so....

I don't think there would be an issue with Brass. I think he did for kicks and it caught on. PM me more his email address.

Hmmm... didn't see AUL on the list. Probably a good reason.
They have slots that accommodate the STA-less Pioneer wings. No holes for the storage pack though. Don't know where you'd find one... other than the my garage.
Don't think you'll go wrong with any of those on your list. FredT's is definitely the most affordable.

For the non "do it yourselfer" type what is teh best way to go?
How much will a fully setup Halcyon cost compared to other solutions?
I dont need the price down to the penny just a rough price comparason for someone who does not own a soldering iron and needs a solution that come "out of the box ready" or close to it
As I posted in your last message thread Gary Hoadley sells backplates that completely setup with harness and single tank adapter. The wing installs via two bolts with wingnuts (takes zero skill). Fred T also sells a fully setup rig, but his list price is a bit more.
