My wife and I want to upgrade all of the hoses on our Sherwood Oasis travel regulators. Since we will need 2 HP hoses, 2 primary second stage hoses and 2 short hoses for our inflator/octopus regulators, this could get very expensive very quickly. I am curious as to the best place to go shopping. Also, the lengths available may not be exact matches to what we already have and I was wondering if I should go shorter rather than longer if needed. We would usually just use what we have even though we have been told our gear dates us to a certain generation, but, with ever changing airline weight restrictions, every ounce/pound counts. I may even take one of my rebuilt Dacor regs from eBay and leave it there when I am done [more room for duty free RUM]:rofl3: Any help is always appreciated Thanks Scott and Dori

Depending on where you are. I had great results with miflexhoses.co.uk in Europe. Very fast delivery (exactly 24h between payment and having the goods in my hand, between UK and Romania, via DHL).

I just had my HP hose replaced with a HP Miflex hose. It is very flexible and winds up very nicely. The hoses come in many diffrent lengths so finding what works for you should be easy.

My only suggestion is have this done at you LDS. I had an issue with my SPG. There is a part, I belive it is called a "Barrel" that goes from the hose to the outlet of the guage. It was too long and had to be replaced.

I would like to have all my hoses changed over too, including my Drysuit inflator hose...

...and don't forget you also need a pair of BCD LP inflator hoses too. MIFLEX, being more flexible, allows a slightly shorter length hose to be used compared to a conventional hose.....so you need to measure your existing hoses and find out which MIFLEX lengths are available that most closely match your requirements...remember though, when in doubt, get hoses on the slightly longer side as it's easier to work with a hose that's a little longer than ideal versus a hose that's a little too short. Generally, when shopping on the WWW, I've found little difference in pricing, usually no more that maybe $3 between different retailers for the exact same hose type/length.....I use Scubatoys here in Dallas/TX.

Leisurepro is the cheapest source I found.

And for those who use a console with a compass, I found for the HP hose going a few inches longer works better. The thin HP hose does not cause any more drag and it's easier to move around. I went to a 36" HP Miflex from the 30-32 before.

Earlier this year I built a new rig. I priced Miflex versus normal hoses at the major online retailers. Some offered package deals on hose sets (mostly on rubber), but none had exactly what I wanted.

I called ScubaToys directly. They put together a custom package of Miflex hoses for $150 and shipped it for free.

I got:
32" HP hose
60" Regulator hose
22" Regulator hose
22" Inflator hose

I was happy with the deal at the time. Haven't priced them recently. Maybe you can do better.

Hope this helps. Good luck.
