Shipping from DGX (including valve) to my door comes to $210.21.

Leisure Pro has tanks with valve and free shipping at $179 and some change. I dont know if they throw in a VIP. So if I assume they do not, that is another $10-15.

Edit--I am in NO way talking bad about DGX. They are always one of the first places I check for any piece of gear, and have always been highly impressed with them.

Who has the best prices on aluminum 80$ shipped? My lds won’t fill my old dacor tank that passed hydro and eddy current inspection this month.

LP doesn’t include the VIP and some assembly is required on arrival. LP has free shipping but I’m sure they charged me Sales tax for the tanks I ordered. Then you have to get them assembled and VIP’d when it’s already been done for you by DGX. So it’s really a push with LP being slightly less convenient.

So here is my question, are you going to ask your local shop to match the price? And where are you going get it filled if you do not buy it from them?

They wouldn’t be able to match anybody’s price. I’m able to get my other 5 tanks I purchased elsewhere filled at my LDS, they just won’t fill anything that needs eddy current at hydro.

That’s good to know. I looked around to see how they were shipped and their policy on VIPing them and couldn’t find it. I’m going to be looking at getting some 40’s or maybe 80’s for 50 and 100% sometime this summer.

If tank passed hydro and LDS will not fill go to a different LDS and give them all your future business on training , gear, and trips . We sell alum 80 here in NY for $189. Comes with visual inspection included and filled .
