I can tell you what to avoid—octopus pizza at a dive bar on the east side of the island. Guy who ate it (despite warnings against) spent the rest of the trip worshipping the porcelain god and wishing for death.

Hey..... no controversy on my end.... My take is that only vegetarians or vegans have a real or valid argument against eating octopus. As a full fledged Treager cook'n, steak and rib lov'n carnivore, I would be a hypocrite to criticize.
