I have to have a wrist computer, and I want hoseless so that I know Tank PSI, breathing rate, and time remaining.

I'm looking for the most economical hoseless computer. I didn't want to spend too much $$$. But I want one that is also user friendly, does nitrox, and is super reliable.

Look for second hand one.. Otherwise you really need to pay the price!

You might want to look at the Oceanic VT Pro or the very similar Aeris Atmos Elite (they are both made by the same company)

I would also PM Larry (ScubaToys)—he’ll help you out.

I’ve used a few Oceanic computers but as far as I know they don’t tell you your breathing rate (Oceanic’s OceanLog program [at least the Atom version] calculate approx. SAC after you download the data to your PC). The only AI computer (that I’ve used) that shows your breathing rate during the dive is the Cochran Gemini and I would not recommmend this model. Wireless transmission is pretty reliable in my experience but I would not go so far as to say that any wireless/AI computer is super reliable.

Spoon:
get the dive rite nitek its around $200,

The Dive Rite NiTek is not a wireless/AI computer.

It looks like they are both around the same prices on LeisurePro, about $614.

Any comparison's between the two?

Am I just paying another $200 - $300 to see my Tank PSI on my wrist with the wireless/hoseless computers?

Yes , and one more thing ... Computer? ..... Online Purchase? ..... Scuba Toys , not leisurepro. Larry will work with you, and you get a "Factory Authorized Dealer with Full Manufacturers Warranty"

They have slightly different displays and button configurations but are essentially the same computer. I would go with ScubaToys just because Larry will probably match LeisurePro’s price if you ask nicely and he will also give you a SB member discount. Larry is also an authorized Oceanic/Aeris dealer so you’ll get full manufacturers warranty.

Pretty much. I just like the fact that my computer records my air usage/consumption for my log book. Forget about losing a hose too—I always dive with a backup SPG.
