Best Kayak for diving?

I have been looking at the following options:

Sevylor U252/STK290 Coral Sea Kayak $260

Sevylor Sit on Top Inflatable Kayak $250

and if I was to go with an inflatable boat, then I would probably go with something like this:

Sevylor U221/HF280 9'2" Fish Hunter $115

I wish I could afford this:
Sevylor DiveYak XK2020 (SVX2020) $499

Would these work well enough? I know that the first option wouldn't allow me to bring someone with me.

I guess I'm just trying to weigh the positive/negatives so that I make a good choice. What do you think?

Seriously, as a surface float you could do worse.

Maybe just me but I have a problem with a boat that might stay together just long enough to get you to far to swim back without the boat--if you follow.

I have a single seater with storage comparments for all my snorkeling/free diving gear plus lunch and sun tan lotion of course. Its a very stable boat and I find it very easy to get in and out of but you need to find one that you like..

id try to find a used inflatable, similar to a zodiak. The smaller ones are often for sale in the sub 500 dollar range, operated like a rowboat, and are a way better dive platform than the Sevylor boats.
