Best / Good Place to do PADI in Bali

Hi everyone. I have two friends visiting Bali in July. They want to do their PADI there. Any recommendations please ? They would prefer a small friendly operation rather than a large resort.

We recommend Tulamben Wreck Divers.

Nice, small, friendly resort with a four nights accommodation and PADI Open Water Course package including course manual, rental equipment, four dives and certification for only 420 US $ per person.

Tulamben is a good recommendation. I was there a few weeks ago--it seemed I was the only diver on the whole north shore of Bali. I had the Liberty Wreck to myself on two dives. I stayed at the Mimpi Tulamben. Here are a few shots of my villa:

It is quite a bit pricier than most of the other options in the neighborhood.
