Three years ago I did a couple day trips from Cartagena to the Rosario Islands. The diving was good. Vis varied greatly between the two days possibly due an approaching storm. The crossing back to Cartagena after the dives on the second day was not so good. It got pretty rough, not dangerous, just very uncomfortable and cold in a small open boat. There was an option to stay of the islands if you wanted but I had already booked my hotel in Cartagena.
