I second the Zeagle Brigade.

Totally depends on what you are looking for. For a BP+W you can't go wrong with DSS and for a back inflate Zeagle is the way to go. Cressi-Sub makes a decent reg but I've never used their BCs.

what do you think the best bc for the money is these days and what dou you think about the cressi-sub brand?

Zeagle Brigade Just bought one today. Can't beat the price and features.

...and after owning it for one day (and I'm assuming, you haven't even tried it out yet) you can say this?

Check out the Apeks WTX

BPW config. with comfy padding and plenty of expansion points to grow with your diving... singles, doubles... no problem.

Straight from the school of "buy it once"

Which one of the Zeagle BCs in thier current product lineup is comparible to the Brigade?

The models I see on thier website are:

Scout, Stiletto, LaZer Zena, Rapid-Diver, Escape, Concept II Pro, Ranger, Ranger LTD, Tech, SAR, 911.

Thoughts?

Would you trust a Concept II second hand?

Thanks,

---Mike

Comfy padding comes from the school 'buy it once and use it never'...:eyebrow:

Any BP/W represents a setup with expansion points, no doubt that WTX is a nice system, but there really isn't anything unique or special about it - if the price is right, sure. If not, there are plenty of others worth considering and use the modular approach to it's best.

For one, I'm not impressed with the outer shell of their wings, I have no doubts they will last with proper care, but judging it to something like DSS wings, they don't come close. Matter of personal preference as well as type of dives you do (sharp and pointy objects nearby? :D).

So, my vote goes to DSS at any time, superb products and customer service, packages are best bang for the buck unless you go the used equipment route. I believe there are others that excel in his field as well, but Apeks is just your average offering, nothing to get excited about (or be unsatisfied with).
