Great to hear that you are OK!

You may now have a valid reason for getting a PFO test (???). You may wish to consider doing so as, either way, the outcome will alter how you plan future dives.

Patent foramen ovale: Tests and diagnosis - MayoClinic.com

PFO is associated with sudden-onset severe neurological (brain/spinal) symptoms, inner ear DCS, and cutis marmorata. This dive series and symptom set do not raise the index of suspicion for PFO. If he's tested and found to have one (as about 30% of the population does), it's likely to be a true/true/unrelated event like FreeWillie described so well earlier.

Next time get bent in Cozumel, they have a pretty good movie selection. I watched men of honor, knights tale and meet joe black. To bad the poor fellow in with me didn't speak any English. I felt bad for him (But worse for myself lol).

You may have the flu or some other mild viral illness but you do not have dcs. Breathing O2 will make anyone feel great. Given the circumstance, any doctor in todays climate would likely pop you in a chamber to cover his/her rear.
