Any one local planning on going up for this? If you have been in the past, is it worth the drive? Is it worth going two days (driving up and staying over one night)?

I'm going, but as a first-timer. I'm in the PSI workshop (so I can vis tanks) all day Saturday, so I don't know how much I'll be able to see, but I'll let you know.

Went there last year. It was fun, lots of dive booths from resorts and some gear displays etc but if I had to drive a few hours and stay overnight I'd say NO, it is not worth it.

Since BTS was my first Scuba diving conference, I really didn't have any other 'apples' to compare it to. However, as conferences in general go, I thought it was well organized and fairly priced for what you got. They seemed to have a good mix of advanced topics (pretty weak on beginner stuff, but I imagine there's not much market for that). I specifically remember seminars on technical diving and U/W photography.

The vendor booths were OK. Most of the major equipment players were there, along with a couple 'Ma & Pa' shops. It seemed to me there was a LOT of travel stuff.

As someone pointed out. It's worth a day trip. Maybe one overnight if you are going to do a workshop (as I did).
