I've been on the Nekton Belize trip three times now. It's my favorite of the Nekton routes - although I haven't been on a Cay Lobos cruise yet.

I usually wear a 3mm shorty but I do start getting cool towards the end of the day.

And FYI, I've never been in March but according to the crew that's the best time to go.

chienac:
I will be going to Belize with Nekton Diving for the week of March 19-26. Will anyone else be on this trip? Also, I am trying to figure out how much neoprene I'll have to wear. They say that a thin suit is sufficient, but I am one of those people who gets cold really easily. In 30 degree (Celsius) water, I need a full-length 3 mm suit, and when it gets down to 25 or 26, I need a 5 mm full suit with a hood!! Any idea what actual water temp will be like in Belize in late March?

Thanks!!

We'll see you there. Four members from our club will be on that particular trip. I would expect the waters to be in the mid 70's F/24-26 C. That should be ok for a 3mm. But since you get cold easily and if planning on doing 3/4 dives a day, 5mm may be better for you.

I'm looking forward to this trip. The last time I was in the water was New Year's Day and the temp was 39 F....so this should be nice & warm.

We'll C YA there
