Welcome to ScubaBoard, the world's largest scuba diving community. Registration is not required to read the forums, but we encourage you to join. Joining has its benefits and enables you to participate in the discussions.
Benefits of registering include
1) On your last dive day in Cozumel, bring all your luggage aboard your dive boat and about 100 gallons of fuel.
2) Hijack said dive boat and head south, offering to drop off crew and fellow divers off along the way if they don't feel like visiting Belize.
3) In Belize City, sell dive boat to the first seedy character you encounter (lots of them around in Belize City) and use proceeds to pay for hotel, lobster dinners, local flights, and souvenirs.
I don't guarantee that the above will work for you but it's always worked for me every time I've tried it.
Yeah, it's take at least 2 hours to get to Cancun and check-in. It's only a 4 to 4Tropic air round trip from Cancun to Belize International is over $550 pp. No way I'm going to pay that much. How long of a bus ride is it??
How long did it take to cross the border? I've heard there was a challenge there, but that was years ago. Sounds like it was easy enough. It was on overnight trip going from belize city to playa del carmen, believe it was something like 6-8 hours
