Belize - Banyan Bay Dive Shop?

We're planning a trip to Belize this March. Planning on staying at Banyan Bay. Does anyone have experience with their dive shop? I'd prefer to find a smaller operator, and avoid the cattle boats...

I'm not familiar with the shop at the Banyan, but I toured the complex last March and your accomodations will be wonderful. Just down the beach (North) is the Protech dive shop. I can't recommend them strongly enough. My wife and I dove with them for 10 days and had a wonderful time. Great divemasters, small groups, and very accomodating. Nitrox is also available and if you're renting gear, there's is top notch. If you're interested in diving the Blue Hole, or some of the outer atoll day trips, they can set you up with Amigo's Del Mar. They are also a well run group and have a Large Pro-48 dive boat that makes the long trip very comfortable. Peter Jones is the owner of protech and runs a top notch group.
