Hi
We are planing a trip to Belize in October. I was thinking that since we were in that part of the workd why not drop in the Yucatan and do some cave diving? We are certified full cave and was wondering if someone could advise me on the possibility of doing this?

If you have the time, it would simply be a matter of booking a flight from Belize City to Cancun. You might be able to find a bus that heads up there, but it will be a long, uncomfortable ride with the risk of encountering guerills enroute. At least that was the warning we got when we were in Belize 6 or 7 years ago.

also known as drug cartels.

I believe I've seen the buses, but I'd fly to Cancun. There is a lifetime+ of cave diving in Quintana Roo, not sure why you're even going to Belize.

I second the why go to Belize. The Yucatan has caves that will last a lifetime of one week trips there. We are going in may - YAHOOOOOOOOOO

I'm sort of assuming the OP has some open water diving in mind for Belize . . . some people DO that, you know :D
