Haha, yes. That was disgusting getting a bloodworm in my ear on the 2nd night dive. I have never seen so many voracious and bothersome bloodworms anywhere other than Belize. They were constantly hitting my ears and hands, particularly while getting close to critters/corals to take pictures. It wriggled in my ear for the last 10 minutes of the dive, and I finally managed to get it out with my finger as I climbed onto the deck. I wore my hood and gloves on every night dive after that.
 
Yes the worms were swirling all around us en masse on several night dives. To us, an annoyance nothing more.

Add to your list of gear: high intensity dive light with clip to attach to your buddy's tank.
