Conditions were perfect for diving Beavertail today! We had 15-20 ft visibility, water temps around 48 F and dead calm! Lots of fish around, including a big old doormat! That was the first summer flounder I have seen this season. Seeing anything with "summer" in the name has to be a good sign! Here are a few shots from today's dive including the doormat! :D

Nice!! I was at wetherill today - two dives at goat path. What a perfect day. Same temps and vis was @15'. A lot of life is moving back in. I've gotta start bringing my camera. The wall is looking good too. Tons of starfish (seastars?). Oh, and also a word of caution as I've got hung up on this line every time I've been out there. Once you turn the corner to the right and are at that first wall, there is a rope running perpendicular to the wall suspended above well out of sight until you snag it with the flag. It is a real PIA as you have to backtrack and free the flag. A huge waste of time/air. Is there a law against cutting lines like that? It seems a bit of a hazard.

Now I'm jealous. A Beavetail dive already. Thats my favorite dive.
Great pics by the way.

We usually try to plant the flag someplace were we can retrieve on the way out. Those points at FT Wetherill are a flag carriers nightmare. We almost cut the flag loose once because what are you going to do at 80 ft when the flag gets caught.

Dont ask my other post got here. I was posting a reply to a Ft Wetherill report that also disappeared mysteriously.
