Shouldn't it be: "ridiculous" :D

ooops...

Oh, it's the castle on the hill. I was told there's not much to see there that's worth the climb. Do you agree?

See, you shouldn't be throwing stones while sitting in a glass house. ;)

Well, if you'd consider one of the most famous castles in Germany to be "not much to see there", then I somehow understand why people think Americans lack culture. :eyebrow:
The climb isn't that hard and everyone should have visited it at least once. The Castle stood there before Christobal discovered America. :D

I thought Germany was the name of Hitler's schnauzer. Only recently found out it was a whole country. We may lack culture but were luckly with the women.

So I take it you think it's worth the climb. I'll send you a picture.

Not only no Geography knowledge but no history knowledge either? :shakehead
Everyone knows that Hitler had German Shephards and not Schnauzers... :eyebrow:

Do you know what the "Buoyancy Uninflated" figures mean? For the BeSea 50W it shows:
5.3 lbs-f. What does the -f mean?

N = Newton
F/f = full - fully inflated.

That's my best guess since the kg amounts roughly equal the Newton forces. X

In this context "f" cannot mean "Fully Inflated" because the spec refers to "Buoyancy Uninflated".

Edit:

Oops, didn't see Don Janni's follow-up post.

Here's my best guess:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pound-force

Basically, I think it means you have to add 5 lbs of lead to offset the buoyancy of the BCD. Compare that to a bp/w that's inherently negatively buoyant and allows you to remove lead from your weight belt. One guess as to which one I think is more beautiful. :D

This is not a BP/Wings versus jacket style post. I am just curious to know why people cite getting weight off the belt and onto the backplate as an advantage? I mean it still makes no difference to the amount of weight that one carries does it?

It means I don't have to carry that crap around my waist. It's uncomfortable and just something else to deal with while in the water.
Example: I don't wear any weight, other than my rig, when I dive a 3mm full with my eclipse, ss backplate, and an Al80--in the ocean.

You know what they say, perception is reality.

Well... it CAN decrease your total amount of required weight as a BP/wing has little to no inherent positive buoyancy like some standard BCs. Often, one can remove 3 to 5 pounds from their total by ditching the BC and going to a plate. Also, and maybe more importantly, the total required weight can be REDISTRIBUTED to help achieve an EFFORTLESS horizontal trim. A great example of this is when diving cold water in appropriate exposure protection when weight requirements zoom. Instead of putting all of that weight TOWARDS the hips it can be more evenly distributed.

What am I doing... you guys know all this! :D
