Beauchat VS8

Beauchat VS8 chrome. Anyone familiar with these regulators? I bought this regulator about 14 years ago, and it is no longer supported in our area dive shops. Just back from a great trip to Caymans. Worked just fine and experiencing no problems. After calling several shops on the west coast, i am finding it very difficult to get service and wondering if its better to upgrade.

It could be a great regulator - or it could be that it's time to replace old technology. There is no useful information at the Beauchat web and the phone numbers they list only lead to a general sales line. Thanks.

I just got my 9-yr old VX-10 with a VS octopus serviced. Parts take a while to order, but still possible to get. you can try Tech Diving Limited at http://www.techdivinglimited.com

Thanks, I got in touch with Bob at www.horizonwatersports.com in Portland Oregon. He services Beauchat regulators for $35/stage and says he has the entire Clackamas County rescue team outfitted with Beachat regs, so a good piece of equipment. Steve
