Beach Dive Saturday SEPTEMBER 2 Broward

Oops, I posted that I want to dive this Saturday in another thread and accidentally wrote August. What can I say, August was a heck of a month.

Who wants to beach dive in Broward County this coming Saturday? I'd like to do one or two tanks and I'd like to do the first one about 8-am-ish.

So who's in?

Right now it's looking like me and FastAttack at Johnson Street in Hollywood. Because the boards here go down so frequently, please post here AND shoot me an e-mail at debby.bradford at yahoo dot com...

You really need to get there by about 8 to get a good parking spot. The master meter takes quarters or dollars or Mastercard or Visa. Bring two tanks if you've got them, if it's nice we can get in a second dive. Or you could always dash up to Coastal Marine on the surface interval for an airfill.

For anyone who hasn't met me yet and wants to meet up, look for this car and yes, I do look just like my avatar. We park in the lot that is directly East of the parking garage at Johnson Street in Hollywood.

Saturday... South winds around 5 knots becoming east in the afternoon. Seas 2 feet or less. Intracoastal waters a light chop. Isolated showers and thunderstorms in the morning...Then scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Nobody could make this dive so I'm headed to LBS in the morning.

I can't do another dive again after tomorrow until Thursday night so watch the boards for a Thursday night beach dive!!

I am grounding myself for another week or until an ENT clears me for diving. Can't seem to shake the ear ache. - Bummer!!

Renee, it was a beautiful morning! Six inch seas, vis wasn't as horrible as you might think, and we had a strong incoming tide and southbound current. Water is getting a tiny bit cooler and I was glad to be wearing my Polartec instead of just a skin.

I hope you shake that ear ache soon, they are horrible!! FastAttack and I have planned a night dive for next Thursday, maybe you'll be better by then? Have a nice weekend, sorry you can't get wet.

I'll post Thursday night's dive in a few days when I get a clearer picture of weather patterns.
