Hi.
I received a TUSA BCD. The valve cap has the cord broken and missed valve knob.
I was trying to remove the valve cap but I couldn't.
The valve cap moves a littel freely in both directions, but it seems that it's not threaded as all other brands.
Does any one know how to remove the valve cap ?
Thanks.

Tabata certainly has BCDs with the usual screwing off mechanism of the dump valve. I'm not aware of any from them that do not unscrew, which does not mean there are none. Which BCD is this exactly?

Attached are some of the dump valves they used / use.

It could be that you have to use more force than you are initially comfortable with. Sometimes dump valves get stuck quite badly.

It's a TUSA Jasmine

No, I could not remove the valve cap. No idea how to remove it and still afraid of breaking it.

Whats weird is that I can't find any source online to explain how to do it !

Do you have to squeeze the sides in like a toxic liquids bottle safety cap

Any more detailed photos thanks

I finally did it. I took a leap of faith and decided to apply a bit of force with my bare hands and it worked. So it unscrewed like any other dump valve cap, it just needs extra force.
