We just bought scuba pro bc's. When I tried on the small, it was too small. The medium seemed to fit(on land) so I ordered it. When I did my first dive with the bc, it would ride up off my shoulders and I constantly would be pulling it down. I got the cumberbun as tight as I could and all other clamps, but didnt help. Any suggestions? Thanks, Tina

Which Scubapro bc is it? Is it weight intergrated? If you don't have weight intergration you will have a problem with the bc riding up on the surface. You might try a crotch strap, that usually works.

Its not weight intergrated, and its a pilot. I really like it,other than the riding up. I will look into a strap. Thanks, tina

Tighten the cumberbund, but do NOT tighten the shoulder straps.. only *snug* them..

In essence, when you tighten the shoulder straps they pull on the cumberbund..

oh, I have been tighting the shoulder straps as tight as they would go. I didnt think the cumberbun would hold down the bc. I was going to put some weights in the pockets. Tina

I have seen this problem too when someone puts too much air in the BC on the surface. You only need enough air in it to float you at chin level.

See if its possible to replace the cumberbund with a good strap and buckle.

thanks for the good ideas, I will go back to the dive shop and see if I can strap it. Tina

Set the shoulder straps to get the rig riding at the right height on your back. Then do up the cummerbund, what seems tight standing on the shore may be just fine once you're in a diving posture so try it a bit snug to your taste.

Does the pilot have the 2" belt like some SP BCs? Some of those will led some trim weight (non ditchable) live on that belt. Some onbaord weight as part of the BC will reduce the break-away from the diver.

All else fails, add a ctrotch strap.

That said my wife tried a Pilot in a shop pool and had a similar experience, she got a Seaquest DivaLX.
