Stupid ? When I clean my BC and try to get water into the air bladders I have problems getting it in. Exactly, How should I do it?

thanks

A couple ways to do it work well. First is to ensure the BC has been pretty filled with air and is lower in the water than the end of the hose. Next, push the button and let the air bubble out. Water will go in.

The other way is to just hold the hose up with the button pushed and pour water in.

Don't forget to drain the water back out after you rinse the bladder and put some air back in it for storage.

You can also just unscrew the inflator hose (or the rear dump valve) and run the hose water directly into the hole ... if your BCD has a rubber washer around the connection be sure not to lose it when you do this.

Have the hose and BC arranged so the water has as straight a path as possible down into the BC. I've found that the deflate button on a new BC hose can be a bit stiff when at the surface--I had to learn to get a firm press locked down on that button.

But the best thing I learned was that the BC fills fastest with a very slow-running water hose--you want to be dribbling water in slowly, so you don't prevent the air (displaced by the water) from escaping up the inflator hose at the same time.

Your mileage may vary . . .:)
