I recently ordered some hose protectors for my reg and when I went to put one on my BC hose, I noticed that it is much smaller diameter than my other hoses. So much so that the hose protector just slides around and won't stay at the end of the hose. I have an Sea-Quest BC and because of the size of the hose it doesn't seem to clip that tightly into the inflator "shroud" either.

Is this normal?

I have a SeaQuest also and have the same size hose that your talking about. I went and bought another hose. This was 9 years ago. Weird that they would make a different hose. Everything else about Seaquest BCDs is good in my opinion. Hank

I dumped my SeaQuest LPI hose, not because of the diameter, but because of the hard-to-grip connector. It was both small diameter and rather smooth.

If the button on your inflator valve sticks you want to be able to quickly disconnect the hose, even if you are wearing gloves.

My current hose has a nice fat diameter quick disconnect coupling, with heavy knurling for a good grip.
