I once rented faulty equipment where the inflator hose would separate from the BC upon impact of hitting the water (not that I knew this when I rented the equipment or did my BWRAF at the surface!). When I realized at depth what was going on, I could still oral inflate my BC at depth to help me get to the appropriate buoyancy. Upon getting to the surface, I was able to oral inflate my BC so I didn't have to worry about sinking once at the surface. The point is that if your inflator hose doesn't work or disconnects, oral inflation is the next best thing.TheRedHead:His inflator hose seperated from the BC.

Ah....thanks for the clarification!TheRedHead:That's the HP hose connected to the regulator. His problem was the corrugated hose connected to the BC itself. He was able to put air into the hose, it leaked out of the BC.
NJdiver85:I don't think anyone should be giving this guy advice.
FSU John:I in fact, never said we were the best divers, nor have I said I am the best diver in the world. I said we were the best trained divers,
