Marek K,
Are you sure about the o-ring size for a veo200? Where can I get these? The Oceanic kit is $22. I can only find silicone lube in spray. I am hoping the spray will work just as good.
Thanks

I'm not absolutely positive (hence my wording :D ), but that's the size that works in our Veo 100's and Aeris Atmos. Since they all take the same size battery, to include your Veo 200, I think it's a safe bet the battery compartment o-ring size is the same too.

To make sure, you can carefully take the old o-ring out, put it on the table, and measure it... all o-ring o-ring dimensions seem to vary in 1/16" increments, which are easy enough to measure with a ruler.

I ordered mine from these guys, who require a minimum order of 17 of these particular o-rings at $0.06 apiece.

But you can probably find them at a local hardware store.

I imagine silicone spray would work, since the only purpose is to lubricate the o-ring. Like Don says, any dive shop would have the silicone grease.

Hey Hoosier, what do want to bet that Aeris has some kind of contract with Sony to push their brand? :D

I hope that I am not to late with this. I am limited on computer time as my home P.C. is down. Don't use aerosol silicone spray on any rubber goods. I do believe the propellants will deteriorate the rubber. Food grade silicone gel is what is commonly used. A little bit goes a long way so you don't want to glop it on.

Take note of the recomended battery brand. Not because of a sony/oceanic deal (but there probably is one) but because there are cheap batteries out there that just don't last.
We run oceanic veo180 computers in our hire gear and bought a batch of other batteries which all lasted less than a year. The sonys last for a lot longer.
