The next Safari sub diving mask is the Maracai, which may be named after Maracaí, a Brazilian municipality in the state of São Paulo.

Spanish: "Modelo Cadete. Para jóvenos de 13 a 18 aňos".
Rough translation: "Young person's model. Designed for young people from 13 to 18 years of age.
So a mask for teenagers. It came with an oval orange rim and plastic buckles to adjust a single head strap. Previous versions:

So the product name was recycled over the years.

We begin today with the Safari sub Marlin diving mask, named after the fish above.

So a plain oval mask with a plastic rim and twin plastic buckles to adjust a single head strap.

The Safari sub Mistral diving mask is named after the strong, cold, northwesterly wind that blows from southern France into the Gulf of Lion in the northern Mediterranean. The image above shows the Mistral wind blowing near Marseille around the Château d'If. The mask:

Spanish: "Modelo perfecto para juniors de gran adaptabilidad".
Rough translation: "Perfect model for juniors with great adaptability".

So another plastic-rimmed diving mask with a single head strap. The lens is rounded hexagonal and the twin buckles are metal.

Today's first Safari sub diving mask is the Palermo, named after the city in southern Italy (above), the capital of both the autonomous region of Sicily and the Metropolitan City of Palermo, the city's surrounding metropolitan province.

The Safari sub Palermo was a low-volume kidney-shaped diving mask with a plastic frame and a nose pocket to squeeze the nostrils when ear-clearing. The mask was retained around the head by a split strap.

Today's second Safari sub diving mask is the Panoramic:

Spanish: " Modelo de gran visión, mínimo volumen. Cerco Inx".
Rough translation: "Large-vision model, minimum volume. Stainless-steel rim".

So a rounded rectangular mask with a broad lens to maximise visibility. It came with a traditional metal rim and twin buckles to retain the single head strap. Internal corrugated compensator bosses with external finger wells for nostril pinching when ear clearing.

Rough translation: "Low volume technical model ideal for scuba diving".

So a low-volume kidney-shaped dual-lens mask with a nose pocket for nose pinching while ear clearing and a split head strap. The product name reflects its primary scuba-diving purpose.

Next up is the Safari sub Squal diving mask. The product name may be related to "escualo", the Spanish word for "shark".

Spanish: "Modelo Cadete. Popular. Con cerco Inx."
Rough translation: "Young person's model. Popular. Stainless-steel rim.

So a traditional junior oval mask with a metal rim retaining a single lens. Single head strap adjusted by metal buckles.

On to the Safari sub Tahiti diving mask, named after the largest island of the Windward group of the Society Islands in French Polynesia (above). It is located in the central part of the Pacific Ocean and the nearest major landmass is Australia. The Safari sub mask with that name:
