Majorca sub 103 diving mask:

The Greek text on the mask bag translates to "Natural rubber swim mask". The mask has a round red plastic rim fronting a stiff rubber skirt with twin buckles securing the headstrap. No compensator bosses. A few years ago I managed to buy the blue version on eBay as new old stock. The mask may still be available on the auction site.

At the weekend, on to Majorca sub breathing tubes.

Majorca sub Simple No. 2 breathing tube.

An L-shaped snorkel, which is designed to retain less residual water than a J-shaped model when submerged. The article comprises a straight plastic barrel fitted with a combined rubber elbow and mouthpiece at the demand end. The barrel is topped with a an orange band to alert other water users to the diver's presence. Supplied with a snorkel keeper for attachment to diving mask strap.

A similar Majorca sub breathing tube, designated as "Simple breaking".

This model also comes with a straight plastic barrel topped with a band to alert other water users and a snorkel keeper for attachment to the mask strap. The combined rubber elbow and mouthpiece at the demand end comes with an additional bend to ease airflow around the angles.

One more Majorca sub breathing tube to go, then a combination snorkel-mask, some time midweek.

Majorca sub Spiral nreathing tube:

Flexible-hose snorkel popular with scuba divers because the mouthpiece drops out of the way when out of use. The breathing tube comprises a straight barrel with an orange band at the supply end to alert other water users of the diver's presence. A combination lugged mouthpiece and corrugated hose fitted at the demand end.

Majorca sub 107S model snorkel-mask:

The mask part closely resembles the non-compensator Majorca 103 model diving mask, which has a round red plastic rim fronting a stiff rubber skirt with twin buckles securing the headstrap. The single snorkel emerges top centre before bending over the user's head and terminating in a ball valve to shut off the air supply when underwater. This snorkel-mask continued to be produced well into the new millennium, although it appears to have been unavailable for purchase in retail outlets in Greece and elsewhere.

The Greek manufacturer's range of fins to be reviewed at the weekend.
