The title of this thread is at the very least, misleading and at worst completely wrong.

At least the article didn't say that she was snorkeling in "barracuda infested waters."
 
Maybe so, and especially with subsequent information I'm inclined to agree, however, at the time of posting I was simply paraphrasing the title of the newsfeed item...

BTW, when I got my Pearl BC I was disappointed that the d-rings are plastic ... but tonight we were assembling our gear to dive this weekend and I noted all those nice shiny d-rings on my husbands BC and have decided now that I'm a-ok with those plastic d-rings! Don't need extra shiny-shiny stuff attached to my body!
