I've been having a minor problem with my SiTech inflator valve on my drysuit, so I emailed the Bare email addy asking for some advice. Well within 3 hours I had an email with a 1-800 number asking me to call to discuss the problem.

A friendly techy named Darrell spent quite a bit of time talking it thru with me and explaining the workings and suggesting solutions. He never asked if it was still in warranty (which it isn't). I liked the quick response and the attitude and wanted to pass that along.

That's good to hear - I've heard nothing but good about the suits from my friends and other people...based on that, and a whole bunch of other factors (quality, price, fit, look, etc) I just ordered my Bare Trilam ATR HD suit on Monday. I can't wait - it's only a week or two turnaround time, but it seems like forever...

I've also had a positive expereience with Bare. Bought a (barely) used Tech comp'd neoprene suit from Divetank, on Ebay. After doubts raised by an LDS instructor, I called Fitzsimmon/Bare to try to check the serial no with them, and was surprised and pleased to find out from, that, as far as they were concerned, their warranty covers any defects in workmanship for the life of the suit (though, as usual, it excludes seals and the zipper).

I'll buy from Bare (and Divetank) again.

I also have had a very positive experience with Bare just yesterday.

I had a question regarding their 7mm SGS suit and Darrell answered my email within two hours with a very nice reply.

I plan on buying a Bare Arctic SGS suit within a month or two.

Funny I bought my bare from DiveTank, and it is defective, and Bare won't honor the warrant because i bought it on ebay from Dive Tank. Do you have a rep that you dealt with there, my suit is worthless it has "runs" all over it (Like a nylon)

Seams your problem is not warranty related, Ebay would be a used sale or stated used merchandise depending on price you paid $100-$500 or a used drysuit, Seller would have to state factory warranty if there is any "used "would not carry one. What you have seams wear & tear not defect. I have a service repair shop that could fix that for cheap 800-400-4350. I would also contact the original seller and see what they can do for you, usally very helpfull.

Dear TechDiverSaline this Dan at www.divetank.com. Sounds like a bi-lam tear. Not a material problem or factory defect It will continue until serviced or section replaced or patched. Same as gortex or other outdoor water proof clothing. Are you sure you are not talking about your undergaurment/fleece nylon under-liner. I am one of the suit repair technicians here. I have contacted Bare and out of 3,500 units sold worldwide so far, they have never heard of this. They are on their 3rd generation of this entry-level suit, and its one their best sellers. We have sold over 300 units and never yet have I had to service one in 4 years. All manufactures of entry level “thin” Bi-lam nylon dry suits, also offer and make a more durable Tri-laminate and Coated Heavy duty Reinforced neoprene type suit. Well worth the extra money and are virtually tear or rip proof. We offer 6-12 months on used or ex-training suits. 1-2 years on old stock or discontinued suits. Bare offers lifetime on factory defects. I have contacted about 40 clients in the Michigan area. Only 5 purchased nex-gen dry suits. Did you buy it from our website? Who are you? I can help you out at drysuit-repair@divetank.com.
