I don't have much experience with the Next Gen so I can't comment on it directly. However, up in Newfoundland I would think you will be doing a lot of dry suit diving. If you are going to be getting a lot of use out of whatever suit you buy, it seems to me that paying a little more fore a higher end suit might be worth it. The extra features you get in a higher end suit like a telescoping torso for better fit or front entry zippers for easier donning are nice. Check out the Bare ATR HD. Still well priced compared to comparable suits but has all those extra features.

Of course, I am a gadget junkie so if you listen to my advice you will end up poor like me! But you will have really nice gear.... :eyebrow:

I'm happy with my nex gen. I bought it after my OW course. Have about 60 dives on it now and no issues at all. My instructor was wearing one in my OW course, and had about 300 dives on his suit. Loved it. Seals need to be replaced every 100-150 dives as recommended by bare I think. For an entry level suit, it's great. I plan to dive mine until I can afford a custom diving concepts for my next suit.

I have had mine for about a year and I have had no real issues.

Sizing...well Leisure Pro only carries about 1/3 of all the Bare sizes. (see Next Gen Web Page

I bought a MT and I am close to the max of every measurement, but I can still fit 300g undergarments in the suit. (I might not fit 400g in without losing some mobility)

The only issue for me has been trying to glue some pockets on the next gen...This weekend I am trying a new glue job using E6000 glue....only time will tell if that is the right glue,
