Yes I mean the wool will retain some warth evan if you have a drysuit flood. BTW I love Pinnacle products, but I tried their new merino lined underwear with thinnsilate on the outside. Nice garment but it does not strech at all making me feel uncomftable. There is a strechy part at the bottom which stops it riping for fat guys but none under the arm or on nehind the knees and at the waist which is needed. I still prefer to layer icebreaker layers, whill retain full mobility and being very light! This is the long exception when wool sweaters are outperforming custom diving underwear IMHO
 
I use the Bare and a layer of 100g micro fiber under it and am warm in 40 degree water. Also from talking with others that have the Weezle undies they take more weight for the same g's
