Yes, I just bought a Bare NexGen as a first drysuit. I have not, however, dove in it yet... Hopefully, I'll get it wet this weekend and will be able to report. On initial inspection, for the short money it cost, the quality looks exceptional!

Thanks Adam. have fun this weekend. Where are you diving?

I'm not really sure yet. First, I need to recruit a buddy, after that, we'll probably wind up in the Gloucester, MA area.

They make a good suit at a good price. I don't like the new light one they have (Nex Gen? something like that) because I don't think it will stand up. I have the ATR HD.

I really like it. I agree with MechDiver, don't get a lightweight suit. My suggestion for you is to insist on a proper fit. For me, Bare size ML is spot on. If your suit doesn't fit you will hate it.

With the proper undergarment you will be comfortable. I lived in northern WA for a while and now north of Toronto. Bare works for me and I would recommend it.

My LDS rents out Bare Nextgens. I dove it a few times and it was just fine. I'm short so it was baggy on me. So, I ordered an ATR-HD customized. It fits great! Now I just got to get it in the water.

My wife dives a Bare suit. She likes the boots and built in gators. The only dislikes she has is the neoprene neck seal. It rips out her hair so much that she keeps threatening to shave her head bald.

Good Luck with your purchase!

My girlfriend and I have Bare Next-Gen suits. We both love them. They are(so far) really good suits at a great price. We got them as a package deal with the suit (with hose, talc, zipper wax etc) and hood, gloves, Trek boots and T-100 underware. They only seem to come in the stock sizes, however with the Trek boots and a set of D-R gaiters they work really well.
Of course you have to get the right size Trek boots. So if anybody need a *almost* new pair of size ten(10) boots, PM me.
Steve at Gamblescuba.com said that they are a decent suit with a lightweight zipper. He did a great job custom cutting the booties and adding pockets.
Of course I'm diving Dry in the florida springs. Its been almost a year since I dove Glouchester MA and I don't know how well these suits would be in REALLY cold water.

Just got My ATR HD yesterday - very very very impressed with this suit - and got a great deal from my LDS (he beat LeisurePro prices!) I bought the Suit (with Latex Neck and Wrist. Factory installed cuffrings), Bare dryhood and a pair of their Si-Tec Drygloves. Made for me at the factory - not off the shelf - My baby was made Feb 5th... PM if you want to know more.

I've been diving bare wetsuits for the last couple years and this is my first drysuit from them - as always an excelent product Highly recomend them.
