PADI AWARDS 2010 Winners & Finalists 2010. ASIA PACIFIC

To better recognise the achievements of those PADI Dive Centres and Resorts who have made significant
contributions to the growth and development of diving, PADI Asia Pacific is pleased to announce the finalists
and winners of this year’s PADI Asia Pacific Member Awards program which recognises their efforts from
2009.
The PADI Member Awards program was based on nine separate Asia Pacific regions; a system that ensured
PADI Members compete with other PADI Members within their own geographical region for one of five Awards.
All PADI Dive Centres and Resorts within each of the nine regions were considered for nomination by a
specially convened selection panel, who selected up to three finalists for each of the awards (please see end of
list for award criteria).
A panel of PADI judges then considered all of the finalists within each region and we are very pleased to
announce the following finalists and winners of this year’s awards. PADI congratulates all of our Members on

Outstanding (Dive Centre/Resort) Business Award:
• This award recognises outstanding business performance, initiatives and achievements across all areas of business operation.
Outstanding Contribution to the Diving Industry – Diver Acquisition:
• Minimum of 100 PADI certifications in 2009
• Minimum of 10% growth of PADI Entry Level certifications in 2009 over 2008
• Quality of diver training (Follows PADI standards and philosophies)
• Innovative ideas toward diver acquisition in 2009
• Presentation and appearance of Dive Centre
Outstanding Contribution to the Diving Industry – Diver Retention:
• Minimum of 100 PADI certifications in 2009
• Minimum of 10% growth of PADI Continuing Education certifications in 2009 over 2008
• Quality of diver training (Follows PADI standards and philosophies)
• Innovative ideas leading to diver retention in 2009
• Presentation and appearance of Dive Centre.
Instructor Development Award:
• This award acknowledges outstanding achievement and commitment to PADI’s Instructor Development program.
Project AWARE Conservation Award:
• This award recognises outstanding ecological achievements, with a focus on fostering environmental and cultural
understanding, appreciation and conservation.
