I'm a Fish!
Does anyone know where someone could get one of those adapters that goes in the yoke of the old double hose regulators so that a hp guage can be used ? If so ...and you could tell me ...I will be very happy :) ...if not i will just stay misrable ;-0

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Currently there is no source for banjo adapters unless you can find someone willing to sell theirs. They seem to be very scarce. Several vintage equiptment divers have been looking into having them made but without sucess so far. Check out the link to the vintage forum.

There was a dive shop in MN that had a few; their prices were are so high that they probably still have them yet.
Can't remember their name but if you cruise the vintage websites you should trip over a link.
The critters show up on ebay from time to time.

I really can't understand why everyone wants a banjo adapter. You can get a Dacor valve with an HP port off ebay for about $15 (see attached). It will let you use a pressure gauge with your AquaLung and is more stable (less likely to blow out) than a banjo fitting.

The HP port fills by back-pressure. It is only pressurized when a regulator is in place and the valve is open. This also lets you use other regulators without pressure gauges on them (meaning you don't have to have a separate pressure gauge for every regulator).

These valves come in both J and K varieties.

Banjo fittings are as scarce as hens teeth and will bring about $100 if you find one. I have a dive buddy who has one and has indicated he will give it to me. I am waiting with baited breath as it would be cool.

To use one, you need one of the later model US Divers doubel hose regs with the long yoke. For the older short yoke models, one of the valves with the HP ports works well. Dacor made them as well as a couple other companies - they were pretty common. All you normally need is an adapter to use your modern SPG hose on the smaller old style HP fitting. Those are still available though.

Another nice to have item is an LP hose that will fit on the Hooka port on DA Aquamasters and Royal Aquamasters and allow you to run a modern power inflator.

I already have the acor valves
I'm guessing the "D" ran off your "acor"?
Take a look at your valves, maybe you already have a HP port on the critter. A mini-gauge can be had for under $50, those banjo thingies always gave me the willies.
