We had a great day with Bandito Charters today. Weather was clear and cold at the start, but it turned out to be a beautiful day. Our destinations were Zee’s Reef and Sunrise Beach. At zee’s we dropped down and vis was no very good. 5-15 feet at most. A big wolf eel was out in the open and other creatures were abound. The other divers in the group found several octo’s, but I only found one up in a whole. Average depth was 51 feet and the dive time was 42 minutes.

Then a short run to sunrise and an excellent self serve lunch, we were in the water again. A little bit of current developed and made the dive a little challenging. Several octo’s were seen. One behemoth was noted in a crevice. Eye was as big as a pie plate. On tiny octo came and gave Kir a nice little hand shake. The current became more of a challenge and we decided to call the dive. Average depth was 54 feet and dive time was 51 minutes. A wonderful time was had by all and to Ricky and RJ… Thank you so much for a great time as usual. You will be seeing us again.

Here is a little photo show of the dive. Please excuse the back scatter.

Thanks for the pictures! I can't wait to get my drysuit back and dive again!!

Oooooh, I'd give my eyeteeth for that kind of close encounter of the octopus kind! Very, very cool pictures.

Cool shots Tim ... glad to see that wolfie at Zee's Reef is doing OK. Here's the story about how it got the injury that shows up so well in your pictures ...

Bob, for some reason, the pictures didn't show up in your thread referenced here... Don't know if it's just me. But I'd sure love to see them.

Thanks.

We were having some difficulties on the board back then with respect to photos.

Here's a pic I took of that poor wolfie that day ...

The day of diving was great. Rick and RJ always deliver more than the price paid to dive with them.

Divers on the boat wear a wonderful bunch.
Currents were a bit of a pain.
Octo's and the large Wolf on Z's Reef made up for the poor vis and tiresome currents.
With the help of my dive buddies I found 3 huge Octo's at Z's.

Great day ~ Tim we MUST do it again.

Thank you all.... I promise more to come.

Be safe
Stay wet....
