I have a friend in Ellicott City that is thinking of taking up scuba. Can anyone recommend a good instructor there? My friend is not the most comfortable swimmer in the water which is why I never offered to teach him out here (in Singapore) but suddenly he is keen to learn. I reckon there is a new woman in his life that happens to dive which is spurring him on but that would be a very good thing. BTW, I have recommended him to take the pool and class sessions in the Baltimore area and the ocean dices in the Caribbean. He is a frequent traveler there so if some shops also does trips there, it would be even better if he could keep the same instructor for the whole course. Thoughts?

We're about 40 minutes from Ellicott City. Classroom in shop, pool at Goucher College. We'd be happy to help out... most likely checkouts would be in quarry, but if he wants to pay to take his instructor with him, something maybe can be arranged. Our first trips of 2008 are to advanced (North Carolina,) so the first trip that would work isn't until Utila in October. We could do a drive down to Florida if he's interested in April or May.

The is an excellent shop in Severna Park, MD ( Sea Colony ) ask for Dee. She's awesome.
