Alright, just wondering what you guys do when the WE is bad and the weather or other things prevent you from diving ?

Personally, not being a DIR diver, I checked my gear, idenitified what I could change or optimize to become closer to a DIR diver, knowing I will miss the most important thing: the training ! :D

I'm just curious and I want to change the typical posts we can see around ! This is called a disruptive innovation :D

tell me everything (or not) !

If you are curious, here are some thoughts of the things I identified:
- need to get a backup light (although my GF is too good)
- need to get a reel (expensive...)
- need to revise most of my knots for snaps, I did not do them correctly, but first need good line for it
- need to get a shorter hose for my backup reg as now it really is toooooo long
- need a long hose for my first and main reg

Pretty good list, right ? Long hose is there as the last as I want to make sure I really want this and get the proper training on it. What is the point of getting one an not be able to use properly, or worse get entangled with it !

Can't wait to get wet next week !!! It has been too long without a dive (will be 3 weeks !!!!!!)

Top ten things a DIR diver can do when they cant dive

10. valve drills in the bath tub
9. practice running line around the neighborhood
8. prance around in your nuthuggers (guys only)
7. think about actually cleaning your dive gear for a change
6. mix enough batches of kool-aid to last the week
5. Go over ratio deco and dive planning seeing as how you always forget it when it is time to dive
4. put on your drysuit and look at yourself in the mirror (no its your butt that makes your butt look big, not the drysuit)
3. lay in bed practicing your frog kick, back kick and helicopter kicks
2. calculate how expensive your next class will be (actually dont do this, its depressing)
1. get into circular arguments in the DIR forum on Scubaboard

like these for a start :D
Can't do 5 and 3... need to learn these first
Won't do 2, either I do it or I don't why bother upfront with the price ???
Won't do 4... I know it is not my drysuit's fault:popcorn:

For the rest... yeah a few of them could do !
