Are there more cats or dogs on Bonaire?
Wasn't there a movie...The iguanas ate them all. These guys get real big on Bonaire. I saw one last trip munching on someones regulator and computer console. The sucker took it right out of the truck.
Wikipedia has some information about how it is uniquely administered in Columbia.
In recent years the criminal use of scopolamine has become epidemic in Colombia. Approximately one in five emergency room admissions for poisoning in Bogotá[14] In a bizarre case, a band of female thieves would impregnate their breasts with scopolamine and then would lure potential victims to lick their nipples. "Losing all willpower, the men readily gave up their bank access codes. The breast-temptress thieves then held them hostage for days while draining their accounts."[15] In June 2008, more than 20 people were hospitalized with psychosis in Norway after ingesting counterfeit Rohypnol tablets containing scopolamine. [3] There have been many reports of tourists robbed after having scopolamine slipped into drinks in bars, as well as food saturated with scopolamine being served to tourists in fast-food stands in various Asian countries. Most recently, these incidents have been reported in Thailand. [16] have been attributed to scopolamine.
A 'heads up' for those men who may be regular Home Depot customers.
This one caught me by surprise.
Over the last month I became a victim of a clever scam while out
shopping. Simply going out to get supplies has turned out to be quite traumatic. Don't be naive enough to think it couldn't happen to you or your friends.
Here's how the scam works:
Two good-looking 20-21 year-old girls come over to your car as you are packing your supplies into the trunk. They both start wiping your windshield with a rag and Windex, with their breasts almost falling out of their skimpy T-shirts.
It is impossible not to look.
When you thank them and offer them a tip, they say 'No' and instead ask you for a ride to McDonalds.
You agree and they get into the back seat. On the way, they
start undressing. Then one of them climbs over into the front seat and starts crawling all over you, while the other one steals your wallet.
I had my wallet stolen August 4th, 9th, 10th, twice on the 15th, 17th, 20th, 24th & 29th. Also September 1st & 4th, twice on the 8th, 10th, 13th, 16th & 22nd, three times this morning
and very likely again tomorrow.
So tell your friends to be careful.
At first, I thought... A short trip as Micky D's is in the same parking lot as my Home Depot, then I kept reading...I read about a similar scam occurring here in the US.
I have been following and participating in this thread for a couple of days. Unfortunately there is too much personal sniping for my taste to participate any further. As soon as a topic turns into a right/wrong discussion, especially bitterly, the important part that seems to be losing out, is the focus on the issue at hand. Or better yet, a contribution to a solution.
I honestly don't understand what the point is of going that route.
Have fun discussing.
