Go with one of Todd's lights (divelightman) - tried and tested design, and cheap to boot!

There are two common problems with such items:

1. Delivery: Cost of the delivery to Croatia exceeds the cost of goods (I don't have this problem with DiveRite because I'm ordering few thing more)

2. Paying method: Usual paying method is PayPal which is not available in Croatia.

I have the DiveRite light. The only thing I noticed (actually, Uncle Pug pointed out to me) is to make sure the light head is unscrewed adequately so that the water pressure doesn't turn on the light at depth. I haven't had it long, but it seems to be quite adequate as a backup light, and ruggedly built.

Can't tell you anything specific about burn time yet ... I've used it for about an hour total and the beam's still bright.

There's always the Pelican SuperSaberlite as an inexpensive alternative.......but there are some that don't like it.

Seems like overkill to me, my Princeton Tec 40s (the standard DR backlights are rebadged Tec 40s) have served me well and some friends of mine have taken thiers past 200 ft.

Oh, and since this is a DIR forum, they aren't DIR either.

What do you think about Dive Rite DelrinTec Back-Up Light ? Is it OK for backup light (I couldn't find any info about bulb and burn time) ?

TIA

I got one as a promo with the slimline. The first dive it flooded at 65fsw. I took it into the LDS that I got it through. He gave me a new one out of another slimline box. Cool! It came along on the next dive to 120 fsw and it flooded. It was never turned on either. Instesd of taking it back, I dried it out, checked to make sure it worked. It did. This time I lubed the o-rings even though they said not to. The first dive it survived, but the second dive of the day it flooded. So I give up. If I payed for it I would not be happy, but it was a give me, so I am not to upset.
I do wish it worked though. I like the size and shape of it. Oh well......
