How do y'all attach this? Ring in front in contact with your body? Or behind the backplate?
 
To use it as a fixed attachment point in my backplate. Why are you asking why I'm asking?

I just wasn't sure if it was better to have the screw head towards me or the nut. The nut has a sharper end which I also wasn't sure about having it in close contact with the wing.

I'm new to tech diving and gear, by the way.
 
FWIW, NESS is 25 min from my house and I've bought almost all of my gear from John in person. He's very legit.
