Question Backplate length for long torso

I am 6’4 and measuring between where the backplate is apparently supposed to fit (where my fingers touch between my shoulder blades down to the middle of my waist) it's about 45cm, while the standard backplate length is 39cm. Does that extra 6cm matter or should I be getting something like a halcyon long BP?

I am 6’4 with plenty of plates and have never even considered it
Then the crotch strap pulls the waist belt down in to a shallow v
There is room for a weight belt, and the tank rests on the glutes

I'm 6'4", and I prefer long backplates. The normal-sized ones work fine, but I find two advantages to the long ones.

First, they're just more comfortable. The shoulder straps feel like they're at a better angle, and I've got juuuust that more room to wriggle in and out.

Second, the lower hip D-ring placement feels more natural. I'm not reaching up to my bottom rib to find it; instead, the D-ring is actually near my hip, where my hand naturally goes.
