Hi, I just had a quick question. When I started diving twins I tore a chunk out of my wetsuit, the bolt wasn't sticking past the wingnut, but I think I gouged the edge of the wingnut just right when I was taking off my harness.
I just bought a drysuit and was wondering if anyone had any tips or information about how you avoid this? I will probably file the wingnut "wings" as smooth as possible.

I also wanted to know if anyone knew of a pad available for a backplate. I like the pad on the IQ harness and would like something similar if available that wouldn't get in the way of changing doubles or clipping lights/inflation tanks to the holes on the side. I've seen the OMS pad that bolts into the holes running along the sides.
Thanks.

Halcyon makes something that goes on the bp. Like a storage pouch thing.

Custom Divers makes a pad for backplates. I have never seen it in person, so I can't make any comment on it. It can be seen...

I nicked up my wetsuit in a similar fashion.

I bought some shorter SS bolts and lower profile SS nuts from Home Depot and installed them. I also made sure that the wingnuts are vertical, buys just a little space...

No problems since then.

Soggy once bubbled...

Yes it does.

No it does not, but the MC pack helps keep it from snagging on my wetsuit.

Attached is a picture of my 30 lb Eclipse BC.
