Thanks for all the feedback. Definitely makes sense for the twin bladder on a single tank, probably not the best for me who will be doing single tank dives mostly.
I guess now I just have to decide between a BP/W for singles or sidemount. I've done my sidemount course and a practice dive with 4 tanks, but never actually dove sidemount with only one tank so I don't know how it feels and how practical it is on those small boats for day trip dives. My camera rig is already a lot to worry on these boats.
