somebody said me i need a backmount rig to do backmount.

what is a backmount rig?

thanks

All you need is a single tank adapter to make it into a back mount rig. I've never used it for back mount so I couldn't say how it rates.

The grommet holes on the recon are 11 inches apart which is the same as most adapters. In this case there is no hard backplate but a "soft" plate (the bcd itself). It's not as stable as a true backplate wing but that's why it's a side mount rig that can (kinda) be used for back mount. I think you could also thread cam bands through the webbing on the back, therefore no sta (adapter) required),

If you use an STA, you have to use stabilizer plates on it otherwise the bolts will dig into your back. Dive Rite makes them and sells them for the Transpac to use with doubles. If you can thread cam bands through the side of the BC I would though, STA's don't work so well on those types of plates. They might go between the top two sets of 1" drings on the back and in the slot next to the bottom set of 1" D-rings but I'm not sure

just looked at the website pictures that are a bit better. You don't need an STA, the cam bands will weave straight into the backplate. My question is why are you wanting to backmount a single instead of sidemount? Single tank sidemount with AL80's is quite enjoyable.

i think i can put a cam band at the top where there are a nut, don't think i can do the same thing for the bottom

just because for the travel... don't want to bring all my stuff in the plane... and often dive shop rent crappy stock
