Great photos. What were your camera settings for the mola mola shots. Some the background is black and some it is blue. I want to be able to take photos with the foreground lit and also be able to see through the water.
Great shot of the two pals, Ling and Cabby.
Thanks

The Molas were from f/9 to f/13 with shutter sppeds from 1/40 to 1/80. Most of my shots yesterday were 1/320 but were too dark to save. I tried slower shutter speeds today, but the vis was a lot worse. Even with my strobes spread as far apart as I could get them, I still got a lot of backscatter because I couldn't get close enough to the subject. Although these Molas allowed us to get closer than any I've ever seen, they still moved away slowly as I approached. When one would swim by me I didn't have time to change settings.

I don't know what the criteria for a "Kevin-like" shot is, but if it's more incredible than those mola pictures, I want to see one :)

But I also love the octo-mom pictures. I've said before that I have never seen a small octo on eggs; getting those super macro shots of the developing babies is absolutely amazing.

They just get better and better! Love the ultra wide angle of Merry "with Red Sola light" and the Mola. The Cab / Ling capture is awesome as well. My two favorite fish in one shot. Awesome! And to think you once thought of the barge as a "joke" dive site.
