I find it perplexing when YouTube 'experts' offer opinions and recommendations after just one or two dive experiences. Evaluating new dive equipment, such as fins, which require multiple dives for the body—especially the leg muscles—to adapt, seems premature and potentially misleading after only one dive.

Has this to do with swimming into sunken submarine torpedo tubes with the door at the other end closed
or in preparation for the world wide five yearly event of the one minute back kicking ultra quick marathon

Yes get those back kicking muscles memorised

ScubaPro fins, since Nova, just insurmountable

Took the unmodified S tek out Tuesday, I can reaffirm they are excellent in most uses with great stability with alternate kicks, powerful frog kicks and easy scissor/ flutter kick, as for back kick there was to much water movement to be definitive but I was able to stop my forward movement with a back kick.

I had modified my first set with Skegs to try and make them feel more like the SuperNova

Also was a first dive with custom converse because, well just because.

Had a little more foot pocket wiggle so did a quick adjustment

To tighten things up.

The converse are crazy expensive for an old School tennis shoe but if you think of them as rock boots they are pretty cheap with some good discounts right now, $85 delivered and for non custom, around $65 and they are great for those warm water diving places with lots of rocks.

first dive with custom converse

What is custom about them? Do they make them customized per your order?

BTW, thank you for the update. I have been meaning to go out and do more fin comparisons, but weather, work schedule and free time haven't been cooperating the last few weeks.
