I posted a message about Central Coast Dive Center having an underwater dart tournament to raise money for breast cancer research. That event was quite successful according to the newsletter I recieved today. The tournament raised $11,711 and those funds were given to the Susan G. Komen foundation.

There will be another tournament next year and I would like to encourage all who can to attend or make donations to this very worthwhile cause.

Also I would like to encourage other dive shops to do something similar for what ever research foundation you deem worthy of your efforts.

I know Cerulean Springs sponsors a treasure hunt to benefit muscular dystrophy research.

I hope we can get a KPP group to participate in some of these events next year.

A few of us in the Ottawa area are arranging a fund raiser for the Heart & Stroke Foundation -- underwater "olympics".

We're still in the planning stages, but have the core team all set, the pool arranged, and the events select.

Should be fun.

Our dive club had u/w Olympics every year...it's great fun. I think the peanut push is my favorite!
